No norte do Benin, as caravanas míticas mudaram para grandes camiões chamados “Titans”. Mas se os instrumentos são diferentes, guardam suas tradições, baseadas num Islão tolerante. Dando ofertas aos seus próximos e distribuindo suas riquezas, eles constróem mesquitas e escolas para a população inteira. Entre Titans e mesquitas, os Wangaras, continuam a palmilhar no Oeste de África. Defendem sua visão genuína de uma sociedade Islamica que combina benefícios e fé, quando em todo o lado a lei do Jihad e da Charia estão em expansão, com a ajuda dos petrodolares.
In the North of Benin, the mythical Caravanners have left their honks for big trucks named “Titans”. But if the tools are different, they kept their traditions, based on a tolerant Islam. By giving alms to their close and by dispensing their wealth, these caravanners build Mosque and schools for the whole population. Between Titans and mosques, the Wangaras, these caravanners, continue to pace up and down in the West of Africa. They defend their genuine vision of an Islamic society who combines benefits and faith, when everywhere else the Jihad and the Charia law are expanding, with the help of the petrodollars.
